Vapor blasting is a process whereby fine glass beads are blasted at high pressure in a vapor solution onto the component inside an enclosed blast cabinet. The process is used to clean metal parts to restore them, often to a close-to-original (dare we say “better-than-original”?) appearance. Vapor blasting is particularly useful for restoring aluminum (aluminium to the Brits!) components as it seals the new surface so that oils from handling do not stain the part as is common with dry sand-blasted parts. Our vapor blasting facilities are in Tampa, Florida to where components can be mailed or hand-delivered for processing.
